The Role
It was a great experience that I feel I have taken a lot away from and would definitely reccommend.
I felt valued by the members of my team and as a member of the intern community.
I was guided very well by the team that were organising the internship, as well as the graduates and my manager. They were helpful, checked that I was getting on well and made me feel truly supported throughout
I was busy most of the time and always had something to be getting on with, however I did not feel at any stage that I was overwhelmed or had more than I could manage.
I was given a degree of responsibility on an individual project and then on a bigger and more important project I was also given a role, through this I had exposure to high profile projects as well as bing able to have my own deliverable project.
My placement was in a completely different field to my degree so I am not sure that it will directly help me, however I have learnt a great degree about business taht will help me after I finish university.
The Company
Great atmosphere, really relazed and lighthearted, never got too intense.
The team that organised our scheme were excellent and made sure that we made the most of our time there.
I feel that Tesco invested in me in a great way allowing me free reign on what I wanted to learn about and develop personal skills.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Hopefully will have assured a place on the graduate scheme but not sure.
The Culture
A really fun network of interns and graduates within my department and accross the business
Welwyn was not that expensive.
Welwyn was very quiet but London was not far!
Multiple opportunities but mainly within sport.
