The Role
**Please note that at the time this review was submitted We Brand It were trading under the name Buyking** The job can be very challenging...it requires you to have a very good time management and problem solving skills...But if you are able to manage everything on time and smootly, it is also very rewarding.
I had a very positive relationship with my colleagues (especially the order management team and accountancy)....I was helped a lot by my supervisor (neil at that time) and the other intern that had started the internship before me. Team work was absolutely great....and everytime you needed help, there was someone there. I felt very valued by my colleagues.
The first week I was there, I was trained regarding the company and the general sector (in order to understand the product and the service), after that...I have started to work alongside my colleagues in the order managemnt team to see how the actual job was. As soon as my supervisor thought that I was ready...he started to give me more tasks.
It really depended on the orders you had....sometimes it was absolutely hectic...sometimes it was fine.....But I must say that when I was busy....I was REALLY BUSY!
Responsibity increase with experience......as soon as your supervisor thinks you are ready...he will start to give you more tasks.
I was able to develop my communication skills and my management skills (TIME management especially)....the first week I was there, I was trained regarding the company and the general sector (in order to understand the product and the service), after that...I have started to work alongside my colleagues in the order managemnt team to see how the actual job was. With regards to my degree studies, my supervisor gave me some time to develop some small university projects (when I had some spare time)...I had to let him know when I wanted to do it, and then I was able to get an hour or so to do it.........but if you have to do a complex project that requires lots of time.....I think you have to ask whther it is possible....always ask first, especially during the interview.
The Company
Great.....everyone knew each other ....(now I do not know if it is the same, since the have doubled the number of people working there).
My university took some time to organise and manage all the procedures....but I think that with an UK University everything would run smoother.
Enough training, and good supervision. I had a monthly review with my supervisor to discuss my work performance and my training.

The Culture
I do not think I've got the sense of the question (sorry I am foreigner)........but if the question is: did you make friends with the other fellow interns?...the aswer is YES!........you have to keep in mind that the company gives to the interns a house to stay in (usually 4 people each)...so of course you are going to establish a good relationship with them.
Maidenhead it is not very expensive......a beer is 3 £ and the clubs around 5 £...(when I was there)......if you are able to manage your money wisely you should not have nay problem
Lots of pubs and some clubs......It was fun.......but since maidenhead is quite a small town.......after a while it can be quite boring.....(but remember that you are close both to London and Reading).
It depends on what you are interested in.
