The Role
This was great placement, I couldn't have expected more.
My team were really friendly, but obviously being really open and friendly back meant we built up a really strong relationship.
My manager was really approachable and always made time to answer any questions despite how busy she was.
I had lots to do and the team were really supportive when I identified a piece of work that I wanted to complete myself.
I was really surprised that the work I was given was valued and will be used in further projects.
I feel much more prepared for the future and the whole experience has given me the confidence to take forward into my next stage of life.
The Company
The experience was by no means dull but I was able to concentrate when I needed to. However, it would not be suited to someone who doesn't like working in open plan offices.
My placement was really well organised although there were occasions when there were minor miscommunications between the graduate team and placement students.
I felt very well looked after and valued, we had two big training days and lots of opportunities to ask for help or extra training throughout.

National Travel
I would happily work for Centrica again and I am hoping to get onto the graduate scheme.
The Culture
There were only two students basing in my office and so we becamse good friends but it would have been nice if there were a few more. I made a conscious effort to keep in touch with the other interns as well, so when we had group training days I knew a few more people.
The internship covered my accommodation which was great.
Birmingham is a great city.
There weren't oo many but I know there are some schemes that are going live this year to get involved in.
