The Role
Thoroughly enjoying the experience so far, such an amazing company to work for.
Everyone made me feel like a valued member of the team from day 1, which in turn has led to excellent working relationships.
I was immediately given the basic training required and it was made clear that if I had any problems/queries my manager would be there to help and guide me whenever needed.
At the beginning it was pretty quiet, however I expected this as I was new and gradually had to learn and get to grips with the procedures. By the back end of the first week I was kept busy and had a constant flow of work from then on.
After all of the relevant training has been completed I will have full responsibility for my own desk.
Achieving KPI's is one of the main focusses at Hays - from this transferable skills are developed such as meeting targets and working towards tight deadlines, which are essential attributes for both degree studies and employment. By working at Hays a vast amount of knowledge on the recruitment industry is gained, which is a great help if you're planning on having a future career within recruitment.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office is great! Everyone gets on so well with each other, creating a friendly and welcoming environment to be in.
They treat you as if you were a permanent employee, meaning you get the same training and benefits as everyone else - you don't feel like you're there as an added extra, but more like a valued employee with a purpose.
I went through full, thorough training courses which enable me to do my job to the best of my ability.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Completely depends on individual performance! However the prospect is there if they see future potential in you.
The Culture
I'm the only placement student in my office, however I am still treated the same as everyone else - we usually make out-of-work plans every couple of weeks. Social interaction is essential when creating solid working relationships.
Cheaper than where I orignally come from! On the same par, maybe a little cheaper than where I study.
As i've moved to a smaller city, the nightlife is quite different compared to what i'm used to - still thoroughly enjoyable though!
Personally I was happy with socialising out of work, rather than getting involved in particular activities.
