The Role
Really enjoyed it, settled in quickly. Could see results and felt useful and slightly challenged
This would probably be higher if I was more sociable personally
I was mainly left on my own, but my manager was always responsive when it was needed.
Never felt I had too much, but always had something to be doing
I was working on some important parts and was mainly in charge of some front end changes, and had the opportunity to give input into larger decisions.
The Internship helped me gain skills in describing what I have done, through code reviews and demoing work I had done
The Company
The office was relaxed, with enough time for table football among other things
Red Gate had everything ready and set up before I arrived, once there there was little to no changes made
I had the time from people on my team to ask questions about the architecture and learn about the product from both ends
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I feel I have a good chance at getting a job with them in the future.
The Culture
We arranged some things together, including a barbecue.
I did little in the way of socialising outside of work, but in general things seemed about right or slightly higher than I'd expect.
I don't do nightlife
There were many societies to get involved in, I chose only to get involved with Ultimate Frisbee
