  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was very interesting and there fore enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was really nice and extremly helpful. When doing work for other people they let you know that they appreciated it.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support was really good, if you needed help you only had to ask. At the same time I was able to get on with what I was doing without having to ask for guidance at every turn..

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work load was perfect, enough to challange me but never so much that I couldn't manage. Because I was always busy the time flew by.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a surprising ammount of responsibility, undertaking important roles on behalf of the team I was assigned to. Because of the responsibility I was given I felt valued.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed were invaluable, I will be able to apply these to all walks of life, whilst I finish my degree and beyond.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was relativly calm, everyone got on with their work but also liked to chat and joke. The atmosphere was professional and appropriate.

  • there were a few minor delays in getting access to software at the start but on the whole the placement was well planned out and thought through,

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • My line manager invested alot of time and effort in me, she made sure that I was always on the right track and was challenged.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would really like to get onto the grad scheme and work for the company after that.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The interns went out a few times.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The placement was in london so if we went to the pub it was expensive. Fortunatly I was able to live at home so only had to comute into london athough that was quite expensive.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • If you wanted to go out there were plenty of options. As I had to commute into london I did not go out that much.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were plenty of opertunities. We were encouraged to get involved in charity work the company were doing.
