The Role
The placement was very interesting and there fore enjoyable.
Everyone was really nice and extremly helpful. When doing work for other people they let you know that they appreciated it.
The support was really good, if you needed help you only had to ask. At the same time I was able to get on with what I was doing without having to ask for guidance at every turn..
The work load was perfect, enough to challange me but never so much that I couldn't manage. Because I was always busy the time flew by.
I was given a surprising ammount of responsibility, undertaking important roles on behalf of the team I was assigned to. Because of the responsibility I was given I felt valued.
The skills I developed were invaluable, I will be able to apply these to all walks of life, whilst I finish my degree and beyond.
The Company
It was relativly calm, everyone got on with their work but also liked to chat and joke. The atmosphere was professional and appropriate.
there were a few minor delays in getting access to software at the start but on the whole the placement was well planned out and thought through,
My line manager invested alot of time and effort in me, she made sure that I was always on the right track and was challenged.
I would really like to get onto the grad scheme and work for the company after that.
The Culture
The interns went out a few times.
The placement was in london so if we went to the pub it was expensive. Fortunatly I was able to live at home so only had to comute into london athough that was quite expensive.
If you wanted to go out there were plenty of options. As I had to commute into london I did not go out that much.
There were plenty of opertunities. We were encouraged to get involved in charity work the company were doing.
