The Role
Lots of interesting varied work to complete which gives a great rounded view of the company and develops skills.
From day one, all colleagues included me, made me feel part of the team and really got to know me. It will be a great shame to have to leave these people!
At any time, I was able to organise development meetings and catch ups with my line manager. Other members of the team were also always happy to give help and advice wherever necessary.
As with any business, some times are busier than others, but no matter what the workload, you are always given support. You can always tailor the workload to suit a good balance and all colleagues are supportive of this.
At Lloyds, you are given real business and value added tasks to complete which have a direct impact on the running of the business area you are in. This gives a great sense of well being, personal fulfillment and inclusion in the business.
I have personally learnt a great deal personally and about business whilst at Lloyds Banking Group. The skills learnt will help in all parts of life.
The Company
The atmosphere promoted hard work and dedication, but all members of the team were inclusive and there was no moment where I did not feel happy in the office.
Everything was organised to perfection, upon arrival I was presented with a laptop and phone for use and the internship can be tailored to suit your development needs, showing how colleague focussed the group is, something that really stood out to me during the internship.
A lot of time and effort is given to development and this is a great factor in driving talent forwards. You can use the learning portal to further develop skills in all areas and with the development meetings with you line manager, you can take full control of your own development to move forwards.

They drive to develop talent into future schemes and with their great retention rate, I can reccomend Lloyds if you are looking for a long term career with the company!
The Culture
All interns are encouraged to network and get together at all opportunities. With colleagues, there were also many opportunities to socialise and get to know people on a personal level, giving a great sense of inclusion.
Working in London, of course it will be a higher cost, thats to be expected! But it's definitely worth it, the buzz of the area and the people make it more than worthwhile!
There are endless places to go, whether it be at a small local bar or drinkis by the river after work, you can really live a relaxed after work life to get a great work/life balance
I have always been invited to all colleague events outside of work, and have been out socialising with interns a lot too!
