  • Thoroughly impressed by the support given. Weekly one to ones and mid and end placement reviews to manage performance and set expectations.

  • Varied. Mostly busy, but even when not working you can read up on other areas or make work for yourself.

  • Given a reasonable amount of responsibility. More towards the end of the internship as I had proved that I was not a liability.

  • Invaluable experience with customer and project management in banking.

  • Great organisation from HR and put into practice by line manager and colleagues.

  • No formal training but allowed to speak to people and read up on divisions and business areas outside the one I was working in.

  • Majority of interns are offered graduate jobs.

  • Went out at least once a week.

  • Lived at home, but cheap anyway.

  • Northern city, plenty of things to do.
