The Role
The internship was a great experience which improved my confidence and provided me with skills that I will use back at university and in my future career.
My colleagues were very welcoming and gave me many opportunities with high importance. I was constantly getting positive feedback and therefore I felt highly valued
My line manager and surrounding colleagues were very supportive and were all happy to answer any questions. My manager and I had one to ones where she would give me feedback and all colleagues were very approachable
There were very few days where I wasnt busy. My colleagues ensured that I always had work to be getting on with and so it was a great experience
I was given lots of responsibility by my line manager and colleagues where I was asked to complete work that was used in senior management meetings.
The training that I received will definitely help me in my future career and my studies. I am more confident, my communication is better and I have more of an understanding of the business world.
The Company
The team were all very welcoming and they provided us with welcome drinks. They are now having a focus on engagement to try and increase it within the office.
At the beginning it was a little bit shaky, with some people not knowing about the internship. However once we got into it it was fine.
The firm has invested largely in us and my line manager was very good at helping me pull together an objective and development plan.
Subsidised Canteen
The future prospects are high, my line manager has been complimentary with my performance and therefore I am hoping to secure a place on the graduate scheme
The Culture
Nothing was organised and it was very difficult to speak to other interns in the company.
It is not cheap and therefore any after work drinks cost a lot.
Nightlife is good but didnt go out on week nights
We were able to get involved in the charity challenge where we raised money for alzheimers uk and scotland but other than that no.
