  • Very enjoyable with a number of different projects weekly

  • Good balance, lots of scope to do research you want to do or to arrange your own meetings within other areas of the business.

  • The work I did was actually useful to my team and I saw opportunities that I identified personally getting followed up.

  • Perfect preparation for work in the commercial bank that I could have not gained from my university course (Economics).

  • Everyone in the office was warm and stopped to have a conversation with you.

  • constant support throughout so if there were any hiccups these could be ironed out instantly.

  • I am part of a wider scheme at Lloyds and they have provided me with grants, money rewards for grades, accomodation while undertaking my internship and a decent wage while working in the bank.

  • Gained a refferal onto the graduate program for my performance over the 10 weeks.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • there were around 100 other interns working in the bank when I was and the team were sociable too so there was always opportunities to go out for drinks after work and such like.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is very expensive, but the wage helped to combat that!

  • There is always something going on in London!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Volunteering projects and charity work. Also lots of oganised charity events like quiz nights etc.
