The Role
Very enjoyable with a number of different projects weekly
The team were very welcoming and made me feel part of it.
Everyone is willing to take your questions and will guide you with your work.
Good balance, lots of scope to do research you want to do or to arrange your own meetings within other areas of the business.
The work I did was actually useful to my team and I saw opportunities that I identified personally getting followed up.
Perfect preparation for work in the commercial bank that I could have not gained from my university course (Economics).
The Company
Everyone in the office was warm and stopped to have a conversation with you.
constant support throughout so if there were any hiccups these could be ironed out instantly.
I am part of a wider scheme at Lloyds and they have provided me with grants, money rewards for grades, accomodation while undertaking my internship and a decent wage while working in the bank.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Gained a refferal onto the graduate program for my performance over the 10 weeks.
The Culture
there were around 100 other interns working in the bank when I was and the team were sociable too so there was always opportunities to go out for drinks after work and such like.
London is very expensive, but the wage helped to combat that!
There is always something going on in London!
Volunteering projects and charity work. Also lots of oganised charity events like quiz nights etc.
