The Role
I felt bored with too little to do on many occasions, despite asking numerous time for more work to be given. Projects moved at a snail's pace and many of them stagnated during the summer due to a lot of people being or going on holiday. I filled my time by doing training and reading around my projects, but even this failed to fill the time on occasion
The tasks I were given required me to take on a moderate amount of responsbility, but that is when I had tasks.
The Company
Professonial atmosphere, mostly dull. Minor banter, mostly on Fridays.
Good opportunities for development, webinars were informative. The placing of interns was extremely uneven. I was the only intern in my building
I wasn't offered any specific courses or training programmes apart from two webinars. The rest of the training was on-the-job and online. I can't say the training investment was particularly great.
I would consider employment here but only on the prospect of a graduate community existing.
The Culture
I wasn't placed in the same building or got to work with any other interns or graduates. My charity team were dispersed around London and the youngest person I worked with was still 10 years older than me. It was difficult to socialise after work
Commuted every day from another city, socialising prospects were very limited.
Commuting made this impossible
The charity challenge was great, but that was it in terms of activities outside of work. Difficult to actually meet up with people who aren't placed nearby.
