The Role
It was a really worthwhile experience. At first I was unsure but as the weeks went on my confidence grew and I really started to enjoy the work I was doing and the atmosphere I was in.
The team I belonged to were really friendly and I felt like I was really part of the team from early on in my placement. Unfortunately I felt undervalued by some other colleagues who regularly accepted meeting invites but then didn't turn up. I can completely understand that they have more important things to do but they could have at least cancelled the meeting or dropped me an email to say they wouldn't be there.
My line manager seems to be the busiest person in the company but always made time for me. I was given great career advice from both my line manager and other team members.
I received gradually more work as my placement progressed which was really good. There was never too much which was good but i was left with not much to do on a couple of days.
I was basically in charge of the project i was working on which has been a completely invaluable experience
I think that this placement has helped me to improve my communication, teamworking and project management skills. My aim is to go on to a graduate scheme after uni and i think this experience will really help me to find my feet fast in my next job.
The Company
A really good friendly and relaxed atmosphere, there was laughing and joking but not so much that it seemed people were'nt working, a very good balance.
The majority of the internship was very well run particullarly the open and closing events. My line manager didn't always know what he was supposed to do but it was nothing that i couldn't find out for him.
There were some interesting talks and webinars put on by the company of interns to help us develop our understanding and skills. The training tool for normal colleagues was also made available to us.

The Culture
We socialised within the office but not outside, it worked because we all lived quite far away from each other.
It's London, It's expensive
We are right next to Soho
There is always something going on somewhere
