The Role
A really valuable and enjoying experience, with a great support network and interesting responsibilities.
Quickly felt part of the team - everyone has been very welcoming!
Really good support network, my line manager is approachable and encouraging.
There was a constant stream of things to do, but there wasnt any pressure to deliver and I could manage my own time.
Well, given the context of a 10 week summer placement, I was given responsibility for valuable tasks within my team which could be completed without an accountancy qualification. These were stretching and interesting, and I really enjoyed them on the whole!
Really beneficial experience. As I have already graduated, I will use the knowledge of the company and myself in my future career. It has been hugely significant for me in selecting my career path and future aspiriations, with lots of advice and feedback along the way which has really helped.
The Company
Professional but relaxed and friendly.
Overall the placement was well organised, with a few hiccups along the way.
A lot of time and energy has been invested in ensuring each student gets the most out of the placement, and we are encouraged and supported to further this too!
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am currently unsure if I have a job with them, but really want to pursue a career in Centrica!
The Culture
Really nice atmosphere - I have made some great friends and will keep in contact with quite a few people!
We had accommodation provided which I think is fantastic - and the cost of living is fairly standard in my opinion.
What you make it - no pressure to go out if you didnt want to, but lots of opportunities to socialise and do fun things.
Lots of additional opportunities such as a charity challenge event.
