The Role
Social aspect let it down slightly. Not a single night out or social event organised centrally.
The Tesco way really appreciates the individual and does as much as it can to support you.
Excellent manager, nothing is ever a problem and would bend over backwards for you.
Not as busy as i would have liked
Definately in charge of meaningful projects
Invaluable experience and able to create a huge network of friends which are high up in the company.
The Company
Laid back, always up for a laugh and can aslways spare time for a chat.
Kind of made up as i went along but that wasnt really a bad thing.
I personally feel that no other company invests in their people quite like Tesco do.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
I am passionate about the company and want to continue with Tesco.
The Culture
I moved to London and didnt know anyone, the company did not centerally organise social events and most of the othe interns werent really outgoing. The interns in my team are sperated in different offices which are miles apart therefore it doesnt give you a chance to get to know them and organise nights out. All nights out were organised on a poorly set up facebook page in which nobody really replied to posts about going out. In the end we had a group of 10 or so outgoing interns across the whole company which is a tiny percentage of total interns
stuck between staying close to the office and saving on travel or staying in london and paying doouble the rent and a £15 travel card everyday to travel to work. Either lose the buzz of london or not have enough money to go out in london anyway.
Although it was a struggle to get people out when we did the nights were great!
I was involved in two football games per week aswell as sports with my colleagues.
