The Role
As with any internship some days were better than others but on teh whole I thoroughly enjoyed my placement.
I did work for many of my colleagues who were all appreciative of my efforts. They made me feel part of the team by inviting me along to department events including the department summer party.
I revcieved most of my guidance and advice from the current graduate on the team.
I always had enough work to keep me busy. Some days were obviously busier/quieter than others but on the whole I had the perfect balance.
I was responsible for managing my workload and my time but it was difficult for the team to give me more responsibility on projects. Only being there for a month made it difficult to get too involced with specific clients.
The skills and knowledge I have learnt will be extremely valueble for my pusuit of a career in property.
The Company
It was a fun and friendly atmosphere. The team was realtively young with occasional chat and "banter".
There was some uncertainty on the first day over who should be conducting my induction but other than that it has been extremely smooth.
A couple of memebers of the team were more than happy to help me and explain things to me. I do feel that I could have achieved more though with a little more quidance.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
The future job prospects are extremely appealing. I would love to gain a place on the graduate scheme with this company.
The Culture
I attended several team events whilst I was here which was great for getting to know my colleagues.
The cost of living was high because of the price of renting a room for a month but this can be expected in many cities.
I can't comment as I did not make use of any night life.
If I had been here for longer I am sure I could have gotten involved with one of the company sports teams but I was not here long enough for that.
