The Role
Great fun, excellent place to work! Has the feel of a small company despite it's large size.
Colleagues were fantastic, really supportive and friendly.
Support and guidance was excellent, not too much to feel covered or untrusted however whenever there was a problem they would step in and help.
Some days very busy though often would work fairly normal hours. Longest day 8.20-6.20, average was half eight to half five.
Fairly high level of responsibility however this was increased throughout the internship; ideal position to be in as the start of a new job brings with it new processes and mechanisms so the low level of responsibility to start with aided development as it gave me time to read about the company on their intranet.
Definitely useful for future employment, perhaps less so for university however depends on the course studied and modules taken.
The Company
The office was work focused however conversation would often spontaneously occur.
The internship was very much at the discretion of the line manager; mine was excellent so I found it fairly well set up. Difficulty in accessing some information however this is unsurprising for an intern. Additionally there was a disjoint between the day to day internship and the central team that initiated them. Central events only occurred a few times across the 10 weeks.
Lloyds paid for travel to numerous locations across the UK, they were happy to let me take my computer home and offered me a number of workshops throughout the internship. Was offered work from home though tihs was down to the line manager.

The Culture
Interns frequently went out for drinks/meal after work
It's London.
It's London
As interns it was harder to get into this (no access to email outside of work) so limited. However for full time staff this was not the case so activities did exist
