About You
I really enjoyed the vacation scheme, I got a feel for the firm and what it would be like to work there and the sort of work that I would be given as a trainee.
All my principals, trainee mentors and the departments I sat in really took the time to get to know me and all pitched in to give me quality work to do. I always got invites to the drinks trolleys and department events. I felt very at home and valued by the firm and the graduate recruitment team.
Very good guidance from all levels, from partners to trainees. All of them were very happy to contribute their knowledge.
Increasing organisation skills and time efficiency. Knowing how to juggle different tasks and creating work to meet different needs. Sometimes I had to set out the research I found in a memo which is more formal and other times a simple note or email would be fine and what was more suitable.
The Company
Very well structured, a good mix of lectures, time in our departments and socials.
Great, the departments were always buzzing with lawyers always collaborating and the social events were very fun.
I can tell a lot of money and effort as put into the training they gave us.
Fantastic, we really got to speak to a great range of people and talk to them about their work and their experiences here. The work I was given also reflected the work a trainee would get so I really enjoyed it.
Three weeks is a sufficient time to get to know a firm to a greater extent. The timetable was jam packed with all sorts of activities to help us understand the firm and the partner lectures were particularly great.
Great, I know for definite now that this is the right career parth for me.
Everything Else
We were paid £350 a week
There were always associates and trainees at our socials and we got a great amount of partner contact. The most I have had at any other firm.
Really excellent social events
Yes, as all the trainees do the LPC together each intake was very close so they often arrange things outside work. In addition, there were lots of sports societies most people would be involved in.
Yes very enjoyable and insightful work experience, it made me love the firm and I would love the opportunity to train there if I am lucky enough for a training contract.
