    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Everyone in the office has been fantastic and have felt challenged instead of just being given mundane tasks.

    • The entire office are brilliant, everyone is friendly, happy to help, and also happy to ask me to help out.

    • My manager has been great, but working closely with a graduate has also helped so I've been supported very well!

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • To start with some days were slow but as I started to prove myself I have been given more work and am busy all day!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Slow to start with but am very much enjoying being trusted with more and more tasks, it has made me feel valued and hence enjoyed the placement much more.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Unfortunately the highways work does not link very closely with some of the university courses but the people skills and professional mannerisms I have learned will be invaluable.

    • Everyone has been very friendly and felt the atmosphere reflects this, everyone is happy to help and talk!

    • Very well organised, have been included in everything.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Company socials have been great, am also running a 10k race with several members of the office.

    • Swansea is very cheap

    • Its a city so very good!
