The Role
Very interesting work and a very friendly team made it enjoyable, however a lack in real direction to my work made the workload variable
Very friendly team who were happy to give technical help and were very welcoming.
Good support from team leader and manager when asked for.
I received valuable training in CAD and was allowed a lot of time to develop my own skills before having to complete jobs.
The Company
Good humoured office and relaxed team, though they were still professional and very good at their jobs so work was still done to a high standard.
Very well organised and professional recruitment and induction with all the other interns, after that it was really just organised by the department I was in, which was not a bad thing.
I was sent on a 1 day training course early in the placement and was allowed plenty of time to develop my skills.
Future prospects are dependant on a performance review with your manager but it seems that if you perform well there is a clear route to the grad scheme.
The Culture
There was some, especially with people who lived together but I travelled away most weekends and didn't really socialise with other interns, but that was down to me.
Rent is probably slightly above average where I lived in Leamington, not least due to demand from JLR employees! I was lodging in a nice house in the centre for £85pw.
Pretty good in Leamington for the size of the town.
