The Role
predominantly due to the people i worked with on a day to day basis
I felt very useful especially in busy times when I could handle some tasks that could be offloaded to me.
mostly from the analysts, very little from my line manager as they were just too busy - which is fine in my opinion
Work is always varying day to day, but the variation is useful as it gives you the opportunity to work hard and do background work
I wasn't expecting to receive any, so I was pleasantly surprised when some of my work wasn't checked.
Extremely useful for the job - but not for my degree
The Company
When I was sat near my team it was brilliant, on the few occasions I had to sit elsewhere it was a little drab.
Co-ordinated strongly through HR - could have done with more department specific training at the start.
I felt as if all interns should get access to Bloomberg like many other banks. I don't think the meetings with Managers were detailed and serious enough given they were some of the few opportunities we had to focus on personal development.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Despite the low theoretical probability, I am confident I have done enough to secure a graduate offer, which I'll be keen to take up after completing my degree.
The Culture
It's difficult to organise events when many departments are working very different hours. However the events that did run were very successful.
London will always be expensive, that doesn't make the value for money bad.
never really got to experience it. Nor was it why I am here.
Many opportunities, few that practically work around working hours.
