The Role
Given responsibility, 'go-to' for odd-jobs and client requests.
Given extensive guidance on my personal research project by line manager, head of department grad steering committee/internship programme as a whole always happy to speak to interns individually.
Very busy- but all doable within time-frames without pulling all-nighters/staying extremely late.
Put in charge of compiling and publishing daily documents to be sent to clients- much more responsibility that I expected.
Excel training useful for statistics but relatively little else directly applicable to degree (in politics and economics).
The Company
Quite intense working environment (very quiet late in the evenings as people finishing up work).
Lots of organised lectures/training/tutorials/socials.
Week of training beforehand, lots of 1-on-1 feedback/ Q&A with employees while here.
Company Parties/Events
Not yet heard but hoping to get a job on the back of internship.
The Culture
Central London prices so not cheap.
Again, Central London (personally living in East London so near Shoreditch etc.)- very good.
Work fairly all-consuming during the week so not a great deal of time other than weekends.
