The Role
Really enjoyable for the most part; everyone was really nice and friendly and happy to talk when they had time.
I was lucky and got on really well with both my desks which made the internship a lot more enjoyable
They were always there to answer any questions I had and never made me feel like I shouldn't be asking questions. Really useful and supportive
Completely varied from day to day, some days I felt too busy, others not busy enough and some days the balance was just right. Varied with the amount of work the rest of my desk were set and the complexity of the tasks my managers set me.
I was given a lot more responsibility in my second rotation and felt as though I was given more responsibility with the more work that I did
probably one of the best parts of the internship, I really feel as though I have developed vital skills that I will carry forward, not necessarily technical or desk specific but more general skills that I have developed.
The Company
I got on really well with both desks and although very different, they were both really fun and I enjoyed coming to work every day.
I thought it was well organised and both desks were prepared for my arrival with projects already thought out for me to complete.
Enjoyable range of skills sessions and networking sessions were held throughout the ten weeks
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Unsure; we don't find out until our exit meeting
The Culture
as there is a lot of interns there was always something happening if you wanted to get involved in. we have been out for drinks etc and met up at weekends that wasn't organised by the bank.
London is expensive
good nightlife
lot's of opportunities to get involved in activities, especially with the grads. they had a lot of sports and social events going on
