The Role
I enjoyed the work very much and although adjusting to the hours was hard at first it got easier
I feel like my colleagues valued the work I did for them and were happy to have me work with them
Originally I wasn't given much guidance, however, the more questions the ask the more guidance you get.
I almost always had work I could be getting on with. When I didn't it wasn't long before I found something to work on.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility over the internship: my work and ideas were used by the desks.
The skills I developed will be particularly useful for my research of my dissertation in my final year.
The Company
Exciting at times and quite fun amongst individuals on the desk
Generally well, but there were a couple of uncertainties and ambiguities in the early planning.
The original training and access to a lot of the applications was a generous investment by the firm.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
There is some uncertainty about the immediate future, however, for young persons it harbours great opportunities - in addition the grad scheme is renowned
The Culture
The intern class was a friendly one with very little friction.
If you are wise you can be very smart with your money locally, however, there is a large chance you could spend a lot.
Quite a lot of bars and good restaurants in the surrounding area.
Sport, charity and social opportunities were all on offer.
