The Role
Was enjoyable and offered a bit more than expected
Was difficult to prove yourself as the same with most business' seen as inexperienced
Couldn't ask for more, if i needed anything they where always there and my manager was very helpful and supportive throughout my year
Dependent and varied throughout the year, ad the start my role was a touch ad hoc but when you integrate and are given responsibility your work load rises
Similar to above, increased through duration of placement due to you allowing to prove yourself
Not back at university so difficult to comment, I think I learnt a lot of life skills and understanding of a corporate environment though
The Company
Great atmosphere and everyone was easy to get along with, friday drinks aides the bonding, as did 5 a side football. Was still very professional and people got their work done
To start with was a little ad hoc and being the 1st placement student in my department was reflected but as it progressed you mould into the role and run projects and your role can sometimes be defined by yourself
I didnt get any monetary investment in training but I was trained on all systems we used and my university encouraged keeping and developing personal development programs which helped track progress
Financial Bonus
Undecided as yet
The Culture
Was difficult for me as I was the only placement student in my office halfway across London
City of London so its expensive and London as a whole was expensive but with thats there are 10000001 things to do and see
City of London is mainly insurance and banking
Had to set up football myself, but other than that nothing
