The Role
The internship was well organized and balanced with desk specific work, talks, networking and intern activites.
I was a valued member of my team, they quickly took me in and made my feel like an imprortant part of the team.
I was given a lot of support. I say this as i interned at Morgan stanley last summer where i recieved little to no support.
I was extremely busy. My team ensured i was continually engaged throughout my internship.
I was given alot of responsibility from the start of my internship, this responsibility increased as soon as i demonstrated that i was reliable.
I was able to develop my skills in Accounting, Finance, Valuation as well as my powerpoint which was seriously lacking at the start of my internship.
The Company
The team was actively engaged with each other and the fun never stopped. I was always invited to team drinks and lunches.
HR put alot of time into the organization of the internship. It was packed with a lot activites that developed my learning experience.
We got a good week of training but i felt it could have included powerpont and excel training.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
The cost was quite high. Living and socializing in the Canary wharf area can be very expensive.
It was good but did not have an opportunity to fully expereience it due to the area of the bank in which i worked.
Considering i worked in the IBD division, there were very limited opportunities.
