The Role
Great learning experience from week 1 to week 9
Got on very well, perhaps not valued as much as I'd have liked
Contact with line manager fairly muted
Busy, for the most part, deteriorated towards the end and considerably volatile at the outset
Covered a few of my own smalelr projects but largely working alongside other analysts
Soft skills useful in all roles. Financial knowledge invaluable for future experiences
The Company
Great office environment home to a great team
Given accurate timetable at outset, events well run, feedback a little delayed.
Considerably during the first week and with weekely seminars over the duration
Decisions made after we leave, prospects could be better given small intake sizes
The Culture
Other interns very approachable, little time for socializing outside of the office
London - you know the score, especially in the City/Canary Wharf
If you know where to go (ask your team)
1 volunteering event hosted, UBS has a commitment to 2 volunteering days leave for everybody each year if you wish to take it
