The Role
It was a fantastic experience. The firm provided so many opportunities to interact with fellow interns and also senior members of the fim
Over the course of my internship, I was increasingly integrated into the firm's culture and the culture of the team in which I was working
I was assigned a mentor who was always available to speak with me. Additionally, the managing director who runs the floor also was more than willing to speak with me.
The work load generally was very heavy but why would you want to intern at Goldman Sachs if you didn't want to push your limits?
One of my projects was to work on a client review. I was given full discretion to create the documents for the client and my manager reviewed everything after I was done.
The first week was entirely focused on education. There were guest lecturers on capital markets, the different divisions of the firm and even a full day devoted to Excel!
The Company
Everyone on the floor worked hard and also had fun!
Very well organised. The IMD recruiters managed everything perfectly.
Great educational programs at the beginning of the internship.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Job offers will be extended in the weeks after the internship concludes ... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
The Culture
In the end we did not have any events for Summer Associates
A bit pricey but this is London
Although we didn't see too much of it as we were working long hours
Long hours prohibited outside activities
