The Role
Spent too long trying to work things out for myself. Felt concerned about asking too many questions because my manager was also my mentor.
Very nice people and a friendly atmosphere, who often do fun work activities together.
Mentor was there all the time ready to answer any questions I asked.
Almost always had plenty to do but no deadlines so could pace myself well.
From within a few days I was working on a product that would actually be given out to the customer so this was great.
A lot of the skills are very specific to this company, although some are not, for example the programming languages you learn.
The Company
Very relaxed atmosphere, with cake every week, but everyone still worked hard.
Everything was done very well in this respect.
My manager was given a lot of his time to give up specifically for mentoring me.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
This has always been a back up plan job so I am not so keen on working there.
The Culture
Large amount of interns who did a lot of things together.
Near London so not the cheapest.
Not interested in nightlife, so can't comment.
Many clubs and social activities at lunch, there are often pub trips, there was a hackathon and also a sports day with barbecue.
