The Role
Wish I had done it before finishing uni to improve work ethic.
Really good quality people and you can see why UBS has chosen them. I suppose it is down to yourself though to establish how you can add value.
Enough to be busy, as well as leave room to show independent initiative.
That's down to yourself in any job. It varies a bit by desk but 'how can I be of value?' is the question to ask if not busy.
You have to prove yourself by initiative and picking up on the requirements of the work.
Helped more than spending my time in any other way possible.
The Company
It's a sales and trading floor, so good atmosphere, though maybe not as ecstatic as some might expect. The open atmosphere makes it easy to integrate. Why are more offices not as open-spaced.
Wouldn't change that.
Could encourage interns to speak openly about that area of work, whether they see themselves there, what other options they would consider otherwise..
Don't know yet!
The Culture
Events were well done, leaving people to social amongst themselves for a bit.
Expensive but manageable.
Good, should have asked others more where they go.
Should have gone for more adventurous places for a drink.
