The Role
It was a massive learning curve, but I have hugely benefitted from all of the presentations and meetings I have been a part of.
I feel I have heavily contributed to my team through helping them make their processes more efficient and therefore I feel valued by my colleagues
Our graduate recruiters put a really good buddy, mentor and manager system in place which helped all the interns settle in and progress
We were not allowed to take part in a lot of day to day functions as we did not have the authority to. Yet we still had our own projects to help the team
I was responsible for makin some processes within my team more efficient.
I have learnt a lot more about how to use excel and the ways in which it can make workflow easier and faster. This is definitely something I plan on using in my degree
The Company
It is all about achieveing excellence and you are expected to work your hardest constantly. On the flip side, the employees are great fun to work with. There is a good balance of banter and hard work
Our HR team organised really good orientation for us. However it was difficiult to attend a lot of the meetings HR had set up for us combined with our day to day because they were both quite high priorities.
They ensure that you learn a lot and try to help you put what you have learnt into practice
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. As an analyst, they invest a lot of time and energy in you to reach your full potential. They give you a lot of responsibility early on in your career and the three year grad programme seems to guide analysts.
The Culture
Interns would often go out on a thursday or friday night. It was easier for interns who had flats in the centre of london.
City life is a lot more expensive than uni life so I think you should expect a rise in prices wherever you work. Most bars to happy hour but not many people left work in time.
There were some really good bars. If you wanted to go out you would normally go more into the centre of london
The firm has many affinity networks which hold networking events. Plus, there are many sports socities.
