  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • SIG was a great place to work

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was working directly with one of the directors and given real responsibilities

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Role was very independent, I did not have a lot of face-to-face supervision on a daily basis. I had a lot of communication via phone and e-mail.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had a job to do everyday, my role was analytical and project based therefore there was always something else you could research if you had done your jobs for the day

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement, I was basically running the project, reporting back to my director and discussing my results

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Elements of the project were directly linked to my degree course, hence I was using the theory I learnt at university in real life situations. I also learnt how to use new software and I will be able to use these skills any company.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • As my role was very independent, I did not have a team/department around me. However I got to know some of the employees in different departments in the open plan office and made some nice friends.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I was told what project I was on, what I was aiming for and given all the information on the first day. We broke down elements of the project every week so I knew what I was working on and had a focus on what I need to get done

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
