The Role
A lot of the work was very interesting, and the company seems like a great company to work for. I will in all likelihood go back for a further placement and maybe the graduate scheme.
My entire team was incredibly supportive and good at finding work and meetings/events for me to do and go to. They gave me 'proper' work and I definitely feel like it was valued.
As above, the whole team were incredible supportive and great throughout at helping me through my projects.
This is something that varied a lot. Could have been given more work to keep busy all of the time but sometimes it was busy. Generally could have been busier though.
All the work I was given was 'proper' and in a couple of projects I had large amount of responsibility. For example, organising and running key testing etc.
Was a great learning experience for working in this industry and a company of this size. Not particularly related to my degree studies but skills learnt will definitely be used in further work.
The Company
Everyone was really lovely and seemed to really enjoy the work. Really lovely office space and everyone seemed to know lots of people about - not just for work but also just for chatting etc.
Overall it was organised well. Prior to coming, what was involved in the placement could have been clearer but otherwise it was well organised.
With only a 3 month placement there wasn't that much time to do training courses etc. but there's a huge amount of support and funding for it.
Subsidised Canteen
On a sponsorship scheme with the company so in all likelihood will return next summer for another placement.
The Culture
The majority of the summer interns are all living in a block of student accommodation in Coventry. It is really fun and useful for car-sharing!
Coventry is a lot cheaper than London!
Yeah pretty good :) it also helped all living in the same accommodation for socialising.
I guess so, but no different than living in any city.
