The Role
Really interesting project, haven't worked on it before so found it interesting.
Was welcomed into the team like anyone else.
My supervisor was superb in helping. Not that much guidance was given from the career development department compared to when I have worked here previously, this brough the rating down to a 7 rather than a 9.
Didn't have a quiet day throughout the entire placement.
Working on what I did showed that they trust what you do, the experts still have the final say but all of the work was done by myself.
Since I have worked here previously I didn't perhaps learn as much as the first time. Learned a lot of technical information though.
The Company
Quite quiet at times since people were going to different sites all the time but when people were around it was goof fun.
Initially there was a knightmare with computer and email access and there wasn't a lot of communication from the career development team. A lot worse than my previous internship.
Lots of courses were available to take and I went to a lot of different sites for visits, really interesting to see other things than just what you work on.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
There's a lot of different choices/ways to go and work for them so there's something which can appeal to everyone.
The Culture
I wasn't living with the rest of the interns, however whenever I did join them it was good fun.
Costs were fairly expensive compared to university.
Not the greatest but there are a few places which are good once you find them.
There's a lot to choose from but it can be difficult to take part in some as we're only here for a short amount of time.
