The Role
Incredibly rewarding, stimulating and exciting.
One of the great things about this internship was that I felt like my opinion counted and that I had a place at the table. That sense of responsibility at an early stage is unique and inspires you with confidence to have a voice and put it forward with the courage of your conviction.
The support network is second to none here and I have always felt able to talk to my colleagues at any level.
There were certainly times at which I felt as if I had too much to do, but one of the most important skilsl that I learnt during this internship was managing time, a diverse range of challenging projects and the expectations of others. Not once was I bored and even when I felt particularly busy I was engaged, fully immersed in and enjoying my tasks.
I really felt as if my opinion counted and, whilst support was out there when I needed it, I was given the responsibility to decide how I wanted to manage tasks and to take my projects in the direction I thought best. The perfect balance in my mind!
I know I have developed in leaps and bounds on a personal and professional level and I can only anticipate this being invaluable to me both in my future studies and career.
The Company
Professional but friendly and open.
Pretty smooth - sometimes the training could have been more division-specific, but I felt well taken care of throughout. The programme is very structured and informative.
The firm is very geared towards developing you as a person - I genuinely felt that a lot of time and effort was invested in my development on a personal and professional level and that this was sincere throughout.

Although my division was quite unique in not having the capacity to regularly high graduates from the intern intake, I would be more than interested in a future role with them and I hope that the feeling is mutual!
The Culture
It's quite division-dependent, but the interns are all, with very few exceptions, very personable and sociable people, with whom it has been a pleasure to spend time with and to get to know. That said, the working hours of certain divisions are not always conducive to a particularly active social life on a regular basis.
London is expensive, but there were no surprises there!
Lots of lovely places to get a drink, but I didn't really hit the nightlife that hard beyond that!
Plenty - again, unsurprisingly, as it is London.
