The Role
Everybody that I met were welcoming and friendly; I learnt a lot during the experience; I was given a lot of responsibility and the work load was very reasonable.
I was invited out to social events by my team and other teams.
My manager and supervisor were both very approachable so I was able to ask for help if I needed it.
As expected, some days were busier than others, but it was up to me to be proactive to ask for tasks and add value.
I was given lots of tasks to help me learn and was given total responsibility for those tasks. However, at the beginning, I had support from my supervisor to double check whether my work was correct. As the internship progressed, they trusted me to be more independent.
The experience was great for real life applied work, so it was not very related to my degree. However, I have gained "skills for life".
The Company
This varied depending on how busy the teams were. Generally, there was a lot of banter within the team I sat with and with the interns.
Everything ran smoothly. All events and activities were well organised.
We had a lot of initial training (soft skills and program training), and there were resources available for us to use to increase our training and development.

Company Parties/Events
This depends on your performance and head count.
The Culture
This was up to us to organise. There were not many social events.
Expensive since it's London, but not shocking.
There are a lot of bars and restaurants in Canary Wharf which are always buzzing. Apart from that, there is not much else.
There was a corporate social responsibility day, diversity events, sports clubs and charity events.
