The Role
Fun, informative and inspiring.
As the placement went on colleges built up my confidence as well as the confidence to set myself with tasks which held increasing responsibility.
Everyone was happy to give up time to explain new concepts and make sure the task at hand was understood.
Duties varied day to day dependent on the number of issues that cropped up during the day.
As my level of training and competency had to be built upon while i was n the placement, my responsibility was gradually placed upon myself as I became more aware of my role within the team.
Invaluable practical skills where taught as well as seeing first hand how the theory learnt at university applies to real life problems.
The Company
The banter was great.
To start off with it was unclear what my role within the team would be. However the placement was well structured to give me a clear overview of the different teams involved with running the whole project broadening my experience with all aspects of a construction project.
The company where willing to cover experiences for any relevant training needed to complete the job.
Company Car
Financial Bonus
The company has expanded it's order form massively in the past 12 months forboding good job opportunities in the future.
The Culture
Not applicable as on the project I was placed, I was the only placement student.
Food cheap, getting to social areas more expensive.
Different, thoroughly entertaining.
