The Role
It was brilliant, the culture of this company is not like a usual finance firm. They really make you feel welcome and everyone is open for you to just walk up to them and have a chat, even senior employees.
The people you work with understand you might have not done any work like this before and really take their time and explain things, more than once if you don't get it first time either.
There were catch-ups with manager once a week, and they welcome you to just walk up to a colleague and ask for help. They encrouge you do this which is brilliant!
The work they gave me suited my skills so the work kept me busy but the work was challenging enough that I was learning and not just doing it for the sake of it.
I had a fair amount of responsibility, they allowed me to work on live projects where hunderds of people would use which is an amazing feeling when you see your work go out.
My finance skills and interpersonal skills improved greatly. All the things I learnt here aren't just for this company but can be used for anything you might want to do in the future.
The Company
Open office space, this means it is more on the side on social so you can chat with others but still professional so you can still get your work done. Which is a perfect mix.
Everything was explained really well and no mis-haps when starting.
A lot! Lots of presentations and training sessions.
Company Parties/Events
Very good chances.
The Culture
The office is based in the heart of London so always a good social scene and the employees even go out and socialise with the interns which is really good.
It's London so it is pretty expensive.
More clubs than you ever club in.
Lots of things going on every week.
