About You
I enjoyed the exposure to the firms activities and meeting new people in the office, as well as the good variety of activities that I did.
Everyone was welcoming and gave great answers to any questions. I was given every opportunity possible to get involved, and felt part of the team.
Only found out my schedule the day before each day, but this is due to the nature of the activities. Overall well organized and help is easily accessed.
Confidence building and allows you to start to learn how to build professional relationships. Also gave an insight into the audit process.
The Company
A good range of different activities structured well across the week.
Everybody was very friendly and happy. It is obviously a hard working environment but very rewarding and a huge amount of opportunities.
Due to the short period of the insight this doesn't really apply, but I was given great opportunities to improve skills such as networking, communication and teamworking skills. If you are enthusiastic and keen to get involved then you will get more out of the insight.
I got an idea as to what a newly joining graduate does, and what they do during the first 3 years at PwC. I also worked in a team on an audit to gain an insight into the day to day work.
Confirmed to me that PwC is a great firm to work for and that audit is an area in which I would enjoy as a career.
Everything Else
Paid a reasonable wage and reimbursed as appropriate for travel expenses.
Yes ample opportunity to speak to people in all job roles and at all levels.
Various social activities and events and good opportunities to do things such as secondments.
Not a lengthy insight at only a week long but a fantastic and unique opportunity to spend time with a partner/director of PwC and a great insight into the different job roles and day to day work that the firm do.
