The Role
Overall, very enjoyable. I learnt alot and everyone was very welcoming and friendly and i got to do a bit of travelling to meet people across the different sites
I always felt very valued by all my colleagues
My manager was always very supportive, we had weekly catch ups to discuss how things were going/ get feedback etc. I felt that I could always ask questions and the entire team would always help/ check how I was doing etc
Occassionally I felt I didnt have enough to do but the majority of the time I had the perfect balance
I was given much more responsibuility than I expected, and given jobs that were very necessary
I learnt so much over the placement and I think a lot of it will be extremely useful for whatever job I have in the future. It was really good to get an insight of what working in a business/ office environment is like
The Company
It was quite quiet generally, but really relaxed and everyone was approachable and friendly. We also sometime socialised on Friday lunch times and there were team meals etc
Really well organise, development structure in place. I had weekly 1-2-1s, there were often conferences/ webinars to learn about other areas of the business and I got to spend time with other divisions to learn about what they did
I feel like they invested quite alot. There were always opportunities to develop and they were really suppoortive in making sure I made the most of all opportunities
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
If my next internship is successful I will hopefully get a place on the graduate programme
The Culture
Although I was in a different office to the rest of the interns, it wasnt too far and we could go for lunch/ drinks after work together. We were also in a group together to raise money for chairty and saw each other quite often
I lived at home and so was able to balance my finances well
Lots of choice, but sometimes quite expensive
There were charity and social events
