The Role
Overall very positive experience. Program well structured, plenty of interesting work and responsibility.
Colleagues were on the whole friendly and helpful and work was appreciated.
Assigned mentors and buddys, level of interaction depended on who you were assigned and how proactive you were in seeking guidance.
Generally there was plenty of work to do and it was always easy to seek more.
Plenty of responsibility given, my work was seen by clients (after checking of course!) and it felt like I was able to make a meaningful contribution.
Improved a wide range of skills, including financial modelling, accounting, valuation as well as soft skills such as communication.
The Company
People were competitive and worked hard but generally there was a good sense of teamwork and colleagues were friendly.
On the whole a well-structured programme, however perhaps a slight lack of social events and blackberry's would have made our job a lot easier.
Felt like the firm invested a lot in our training, development and overall experience across the summer.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Future employment prospects very positive, an exciting firm to work for.
The Culture
Fellow interns were fun and made an effort to socialise, however nature of the job and work sometimes made this difficult.
On the whole London is expensive, however the compensation did allow for this by including a relocation fee.
Plenty of bars and a few clubs, easy to get to other parts of London to go out.
There is plenty to do outside work in London, however often felt too busy to really get involved in many other activities.
