The Role
So much better than I was anticipating! Absolutely love it and really dont want to leave!
Everyone was incredibly friendly, and even though it is a big company, it felt like people really made an effort to get to know me!
I was given a lot of support from multiple supervisors, who were very approachable and went out of their way to explain things to me.
There was never a moment where I had no work to do, and I got a chance to get involved in a lot of different projects.
I was given important work to do from the first day, and got a chance to input my ideas to a lot of the projects that I helped out on.
I have gained many transferable skills that will be very beneficial when undertaking my MSc degree. It was nice to see how all the knowledge i'd gained from my undergraduate degree actually gets applied to real situations and projects.
The Company
Everyone was very comfortable with each other which made the atmosphere really nice to be in.
Everything went smoothly during my first few weeks when I was getting used to everything.
I was given a lot of responsibility and given important work to do. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that I was getting along well and that I had no problems.
Hopefully I will be able to work with the team after I have completed my MSc!
The Culture
I made a lot of friends, and the team went out for drinks now and then.
Prices you'd expect to pay in a city.
Birmingham has incredible nightlife!
I had opportunities to join in with the running and sports groups.
