The Role
Very enjoyable experience, everyone was great to work with.
I was valued for my role, but it was still not enough work to keep me fully occupied.
On the projects that I had to work on, senior management and supervisors were always helpful to direct me if I needed any help.
Quite bored on a daily basis, needed to find things myself to occupy myself.
I had the responsibility of completing the work for a large project, but I also had to head some meetings towards the end of the summer internship.
None of the skills I developed will be useful for my degree - maybe Excel Pivot tables will be important.
The Company
There was definitely good atmosphere.
Quite well organised, special days/events were very well organised.
A lot of time was spent on me so that I understood projects, but I expected more computer based and interactive training sessions - only 2 days were spent on training.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Very appealing, especially in such a huge multinational bank - the amount of people equals the amount of opportunities.
The Culture
Very good social scene - a couple of events were organised by the firm, while there were many self-organised intern events as well.
Quite expensive, but the salary makes up for that.
During the week there is good nightlife, but during the weekend everyone goes out more centrally while Canary Wharf dies down...
Quite a few.
