The Role
I have really enjoyed working for hays recruitment and have made some really strong relationships with my colleagues, I was lucky enough to have my placement extended and will sad to leave.
I have built good relationships with my colleagues and feel valued by my team and my directors. I was not treated any different to any other member of staff just because I was a placement student. I was always given recognition for my work, which kept me motivated and made me feel a valued member of my team.
I have been supported all the way through my placement, with my managers and directors giving me the chance to grow and develop by taking responsibility for projects and supporting me all the way through if needed.
I have been constantly busy all the way through my placement, taking on additional duties to help me develop in different areas.
I was given the chance to take responsibility for various projects including an office move, and was trusted to carry out all tasks needed.
It has given me a real insight into working for a global company how important company values and procedures are, and how they are rolled out to all employees. Working for a recruitment agency and studying towards a HR Degree I have been able to relate my studies to my work with regards to laws and legislations, Discrimination, the importance of employee engagement, and also the importance of working well with a team and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. It has given me confidence knowing that I have the ability to take on responsibility and continuously develop my skills.
The Company
Our team worked well together and were like a family, the office atmosphere was always good.
I think the overall placement was well organised and feel it has exceeded my expectations.
I had the same training as a recruitment consultant and training was given throughout the year. The training was very useful and I feel I got alot out of it.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
If there was an opportunity to work for Hays within the HR Department I would love to come back after university.
The Culture
We went for employee lunches and nights out as a team and there was never a bad atmopshere.
I travelled to my role which took about 1.15 minutes each way, which cost around £250 a month in petrol.
The nightlife wasn't too bad, but we sometimes travelled into london.
Yes we organised a few nights out.
