The Role
I really enjoyed it and would reccommend it highly.
More so than anywhere else I have worked.
Loads of support from Line Manager and HR.
Very busy! sometimes too busy, but too busy is better than bored.
More responsibility than any internship I had done before. You genuinely function as part of the team and your work is needed by other people.
Not that much formal training but a lot of learning on the job.
The Company
On CPD Garnier & Maybelline floor the atmosphere is amazing. Lots of fun, jokes and cake.
Well organised. Only let down was lack of infrastructure (i.e. not enough desks/computers for everyone).
Not a lot of formal training. But huge development in my working ability just from the level of responsibilty I had to deal with.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Very good, Grad Scheme looks really good, they tell you a lot about how it works and how to apply.
The Culture
Yes, lots of socials/nights out/ rounders etc. Facebook group, birthday emails etc. Very friendly and approachable atmosphere among the interns.
Expensive but its in london so thats to be expected. Quite easy to get good/cheap group deals as there were 84 interns!
Good but not amazing. But very easy to travel to better places near by on the tube etc.
Yes. Lots of community work and socials. Could have been more sports opportunities but was only a short term placement and there are sports teams that run throughout the year.
