The Role
It's up to you to seek out work. There was a good work/life balance.
Was involved in several meetings with senior members (this only happens if you can prove yourself in the first 4 weeks).
This is extremely dependent on your line manager. Some are more supportive/caring than others.
Some days were naturally busier than others. Usually 9AM - 5:30PM
When the opportunity arises, capitalise on the opportunity. You will then be given more responsibility if you impress.
You get a real understanding of what it is like to work in a bank. You're knowledge comes from asking your team questions.
The Company
The office in Milton Keynes is known to be more lively than the London one.
At times, there was a lack of structure and objective. Would have been nice to have more events with the other interns and graduates. However, the programme is still quite young and is improving every year.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
They only recruit a small number of the total interns.
The Culture
Really good people from across the UK and Spain. There was always something to do after work if you wanted.
It was London.
