The Role
The internship was really enjoyable. The people were great fun to work with and the work was interesting.
People treated me as another staff member, and valued the work that I was doing. They were always willing to take time out of their day to talk and coach me through work.
I was given a lot of support throughout the internship, mainly from my people manager and my buddy but also by the other members of staff. I was coached through work and people were always willing to take time out of their days to help me.
I was kept busy with work throughout the internship, but staff were always careful to ensure I didn't have too much and was able to go home on time.
I worked on deliverable client work for the entire project, and took ownership of my own work. I was trusted to complete tasks independently. I was also trusted to go onto client sites and get involved with client meetings.
The skills that I learnt through the internship will be really useful for my career. I gained technical knowledge and skills that are relevant to the field, as well as business skills that will serve me well regardless of where I work.
The Company
The office is in general very friendly and open. The social group system works very well, and the newly refurbished EP is lovely to work in.
The internship was in general very well organised. My only criticism would be that a lot of events and training is very Core Audit focused, despite many people working in the Assurance line of service working in Risk Assurance or IT.
I was well trained, and the company clearly was keen to develop our knowledge and skills.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
PwC can offer interns a job offer to come back, and this is quite flexible.
The Culture
Lots of events, and people were always keen to go out and have fun.
London is expensive. There is a good social budget for official events.
Right in the middle of central London, and loads of places to go out.
Could have been more advertised to the interns, but there are opportunities out there.
