The Role
Although I was not hugely busy the whole time during my internship, it was very beneficial to see the workflow and tasks completed of my colleagues.
I felt my colleagues gave me work where appropriate, and did not discriminate because I was an intern and not a full time employee.
My manager gave me suport and guidance throughout my intershop, answering any questions I had and explaining things thouroughly where necessary.
There were occasional days on which I didn't have very much to do, but generally my manager kept me busy.
All the tasks I was given were fairly key to the project, but they were all checked over by a more senior member of staff.
The skills and training will denfinitely help towards my degree as they have given me great perspective on the work I do in university compared to what I need to know and apply in a professional workplace.
The Company
It was a fairly relaxed atmosphere at your office with the general view that if you got the work done, then everyone was happy.
There were a few problems here and there, but they were dealt with quickly. The rest of the internship was well organised by my people manager.
I received a large amount of training which was very benificial, and learning on the job was made very easy by the openess of my colleagues to questions.
I am currently unsure on future employment prospects.
The Culture
Yes, interns were very willing to meet up for socials and have lunch together etc.
It was fairly expensive to socialise, but that's just London prices which is to be expected.
It's London, the nightlife is booming!
Yes, Spark offered a lot of activities for me to get involved with should I so want.
