The Role
The internship witihn PwC really made me feel a valued member of PwC. Throughout the internship I was given audit expereince within 6 clients. As I interned witihin LMT, the clients are smaller FTSE 100 - 350 clients. The internship gave me a high degree of client exposure, whilst performing a varied amount of audit procedures. This included testing clients cash, payroll of new leavers/joiners, additions/disposals testing, prepaid expenses testing and accrued income testing. The internship is really an enjoyable experience within PwC, which I would recommend to anyone interested in pursuing a career in PwC's industry.
Very valued. I was given first year associate tasks to perform on the audit's which I was involved within and a high degree of confidence to discuss client matters independently with the client.
All interns were given a people manager and buddy, for which they provided excellent support and guidance on issues. Also there was intern technical training and development days during the internship.
Very busy. On average 9;30 to 7:00 days. During my internship, my department was very busy with client work.
High amount of resposnsibility as discussed above with independently discussing matters with clients regarding their audit.
Thisinternship increased my networking skills, technical knowledge, time-management skills and overall confidence within the industry which will provide useful during my final year studies and future career.
