The Role
- I found both the work significantly more enjoyable than I had expected, and the people more friendly and helpful
- I felt valued in terms of the work I was doing as well as extra events and meetings I participated in.
- Friendly and supportive buddy system and managers, very willing to answer any questions and assume no prior knowledge - Give honest responses
- Some days were a lot more laid back, others with tight deadlines, but understandable based on the sector and projects you were working on
- Within first few weeks given chargeable work
- The interniship has made a significant impact in my research, presentation, interaction, network-building, excel and modelling skills
The Company
- Laid back, yet still maintained professionalism
-Well-structured
- We were given a week of training, in both my service area, technical and research training all of which was extensively used during the internship
Company Parties/Events
- Job offer if internship goes well
The Culture
- We get on well with each other, and maintained regular intern social events during the 6 weeks
- Depends on how much you socialise and where you go (as expected in London)
- Did not go out in London during the internship
- Many team drinks, after-work drinks etc. but a lot would have to be organised yourself
