The Role
I thought it was a great experience which gives you a great insight into work life at PwC but also the social aspects as well.
I met a lot of great people along the way and have made many contacts that I intend on keeping in contact with. I could see how much they valued interns in the amount of responsilibility they give you from day one.
There was never a time where I could find no one to help. I found that having a buddy and people manager was great as they were always there when you had any questions.
The days can vary. Some days you find there's one job after the next however there are other days where you find you have more free time which is a great way to explore the office and also meet other collegues at the office.
I was given a great deal of responisiblity and often told that I was given more responsibility than would usually be given to an intern.
As an accounting student, not only did my accounting knowledge assist me in tasks but I have also gained more practical experience that I believe will help me further in my studies.
The Company
St Albans is a great office. Although it is smaller than the London offices, I personally like the atmostphere here more. Everyone is more close knit and there are very strong friendships between collegues at this office.
I was always booked on a client so this was very well organised and when I was free from a client there was always other tasks for me to do.
The initial training was great fun and a good way to get to know the other interns around the country.
Company Parties/Events
Great job prospects where internship could potentially give you a head start.
The Culture
I lived at home so no living costs.
Not so sure as I didn't spend much time in St Albans as I was booked on clients for the majority of my internship.
St Albans office has loads of social events. We were invited to end of months drinks.
